Graduated Delehanty in 1970 & immediately began working for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) & JFK Airport. Married in 1973. Resigned from FAA in 1974 to be a stay-at-home Mom which I was for 12 years. I have 3 children, 2 sons, and 1 daughter, all grown, but still home. Returned to FAA in 1986; fortunately, at that time, career advancement for women was on the rise. I worked hard, but it paid off. Divorced in 1988. Remarried in 1997.
BEST MEMORY OF DELEHANTY HIGH
Meeting everyone at the B&S Coffee Shop every morning before classes began. We'd sit around and have coffee and/or breakfast before school started. Of course in Senior year, we were permitted to go out for lunch and that was great. The annual school trip to Rye Beach was always fun! I used to get ill on the rides! That wasn't fun, but I survived!! The teachers were great too. The dean of girls, Mrs. Stewart, used to chase me around the school because I wore makeup! I ran faster than she did..........try that with the kids today, just getting them to wear clothing that covers up their body is difficult enough.

Comments:
I browse this website often to see what's going on and who's doing what. It's fun, but there is little to no activity from alumni of the class of 1970. I hope everyone is well, happy, successful. It's difficult to believe how many years have past and how quickly they've passed. I couldn't attend the All School Reunion in July of 2001 because it was at the same time my son graduated from Marine Boot Camp, and of course, we went to the graduation. I did see some of the photos posted on this site. Everyone looks great! God Bless!!!
