HINTS,
HELP AND... HINDRANCES?

With
over 550 of us now on the site, I though it might be useful to have a
place where members could ask questions if you experience problems with
the site or post useful web hints for the benefit of other Alumni.
I will try and answer any questions but I am far from being an expert, so questions will be posted for our more web experienced Alumni to offer help as well. To get the ball rolling, I have posted a simple HINT below. If you would like to add a helpful suggestion or ask a question about the site, just use the form below. |

* Your Browser
(Netscape or Explorer) has a cache which holds many of the web pages you
have previously visited. Many times when you revisit a site you are actually
viewing the information from your previous visit. To make sure you are
viewing the most current information available from a site simply click
on your Reload or Refresh button.

Here's one for saving a
bit of time. Say you're on a site like eBay and want to check out several
items. Instead of clicking on a link, left click on the item and select
"Open in new window" Then when you are done with that page just
close the window and the original page is still open. No need to use your
back button and wait for the original page to re-load.

Just a recommendation,
should have some instructions of how we can download photos onto the web
site.

At the moment, only I can post photos to the site. I will be looking into automating some functions over the summer. You can e-mail or mail me photos for posting. To download photos, just right click and select "Save Image As..." |

When I try to e-mail
a classmate - box says "default mail client not properly installed"
how do i correct? thnx
