Rye Beach amusement park is still there. Perhaps ten years ago I took my kids there after the park had appeared in the Tom Hanks' film "BiG." My impression of the park while walking around was how it had shrunk--of course, it hadden really shrunk but what seemed so big and fascinating years ago now seemed small and seedy.
Wasn't there also a Delehanty boat ride to Bear Mtn? I remember we gathered at Battery Park for the boat--was this the boat to Rye Beach or to Bear Mtn or both? Seems I recall an odd deck chair going into the Hudson.
