I thought that the boat trip was for every year, as I do remember going more than once.
Now about the rowdy class, I think that might have been the class of '62.(or maybe our class of '63)
It seems that there were more than one or two wooden deck chairs thrown overboard. I remember standing on the back of the boat and seeing a long,long line of deck chairs floating in the East river behind the boat.
Something tells me that everything that would float went over the side, and the boat line refused to take the school any more. Glad to see that they gave in so your class made it.
I may be wrong on some of these details, perhaps someone else has the facts.
